Kanye faces dire water shortage
Image via WikipediaThe water crisis that has hit Kanye last week is far from over, it seems, according to Rre One Mothupi of Kanye Water Affairs. The precarious situation hit Kanye after four main boreholes supplying Kanye broke down. In fact, the water situation in Kanye has never been satisfactory due to poor water yields from all 15 boreholes supplying the village. The department has since resorted to bowsing water to the affected areas among them Taukobong ward. The local Water Affairs is working round the clock to connect some boreholes in Moshana area to alleviate the situation. “Until such a time when consultants engaged complete the project it’s difficult to tell when things would be normalised”.
